Despite a lack of international travel and a national lockdown most of the winter, we still managed to get out on skis quite a bit in Yorkshire this season. 7 days in all; a mix of local skiing when we had low lying snow, plus visits to the Yorkshire Dales when they were allowed.
Skiing in Yorkshire is certainly an experience (we like to call in ‘challenging’!) – featuring a full range of snow conditions, weather and tussocks (Yorkshire mogul fields) to contend with. We skied plenty of ‘interesting’ pitches and even some genuinely good powder through the winter – but I can’t wait to get abroad to ski in the bigger mountains again soon….
