We had 2 groups ski touring on Senja Island this year, so it was great to be working with my old friend Si Hale for the week – not that we spent too much time together; there are so many things to do on the island that we rarely found ourselves in the same place.

Yet again, the magic island delivered another exceptional weeks skiing – with fresh powder, amazing views and miles and miles of wilderness. As a guide, I just can’t get over how reliably good this place is: in a country like Norway where you get such variable weather, it’s amazing that you can find good skiing here just about all the time – and the views are just something else!
