This season we’ve enjoyed stable weather conditions in the Alps for much of the spring hut to hut touring season, which mean’t that all 7 of our Haute Route Ski Tour trips made it to Zermatt this year.
That’s not to say it was easy however – with several teams having to contend with difficult weather and conditions along the route. Having strong teams, great guides and a spare ‘weather day’ in the itinerary frequently made the difference.
The other innovation we introduced this year was to offer some trips with mid week starts. Although this means you have to take an extra days holiday – the route is consequently much quieter, with just a handful of other skiers around. As these trips proved popular with both guides and team members, we are offering them again for 2020.
