Just back from Norway and a wild week exploring a new venue on our Arnoya Island ski touring trip, north of Lyngen. The weather was pretty full on at times, but finally came good with two days of heavy snowfall and plenty of powder to finish. Of all the islands we’ve visited in Northern Norway, Arnoya has the greatest amount of good ski terrain and also the least chance of meeting other skiers.
The accommodation was just what we hoped for – with a friendly welcome, great food each night and coffee and cakes each afternoon when coming back from skiing! Thanks to everyone for being such a good natured team and thanks to Dave H for excellent guiding during the week. I can’t wait to get back here next year…
