La Grave Ice Course |

"I just wanted to take a minute to say thanks again for an outstanding week ice climbing in La Grave.
My confidence and ability raised very quickly primarilly because of the way the course was run, being given coaching pointers on technique and keeping the grade of ice in touch with my learning curve.
I would recommend it to everyone who enjoys summer mixed climbing and wants have a lot of safe fun on ice.
Thanks again,
Chris Goodwin"

"Jonny, Rich and Al
I am writing to thank you all and in particular Jonny for a truly exceptional week in the Alps.
The course more than achieved my main aims of learning some of the skills required for Alpine mountaineering to be used on future trips. It also got me right in among some peaks and gave me a great experience of the Alps.
What was particularly impressive was that despite the weather, Jonny managed to put together an outstanding and varied itinerary with every day adding to the experience.
I will definitely be returning to the Alps in the future to take my climbing to the next level both with friends and with guides. I will be looking no further than yourselves for future guiding and I will also be fully recommending Alpine Guides to anyone looking for help in the mountains."

"Dear Rich,
Just a note to say 'thank you' so much for guiding and instructing Alex throughout the week. He really appreciated your professionalism and feels that he has progressed greatly since last year. Above all, he really enjoyed being with you, sharing a bit of banter and a sense of humour whilst at the same time learning lots of new things. You have inspired him in many ways."

Alpine Intro + Private Mont Blanc |

"When I mentioned my worry about Mont Blanc du Tacul, Al was really helpful in reassuring me - I feel these kind of things are really import in a guide/client relationship. I felt well acclimatized by the time we climbed Mont Blanc and it was a very special day. I would hope that Al was able to enjoy it too, even though it was nothing to him! He was great at edging me on as the higher altitude made the moving tougher and slower.
Im really glad I chose alpine guides; it was obvious to me that you really care about what you do more than just the financial side of things. The information you have spent time writing on you're website was really valuable. I got a sense that you want to work with clients that actually have an interest in climbing and you work hard to create relationships with them instead of just the glory seekers.
I've come back feeling really excited about the future and with a firm feeling of what I want to go on to do. I really just want to thank you guys for a unforgettable two weeks."

"Thanks guys, the guiding was excellent in all areas and I thoroughly enjoyed being with you all. Olly was great fun to be with and taught me some useful new skills and Jonny was fantastic getting me up the Matterhorn. Please pass on my thanks to Jonny for helping me with my SPA stuff and let him know I passed it last weekend. "

"Thanks again for a fantastic two weeks, Eric and I both really appreciated the lengths you went to, in order to make sure we could climb great stuff whatever the weather was doing and I suspect return trip(s) to Lecco and the Bregalia will be on the cards."

"thoroughly enjoyed the course, had a fantastic week and we're itching to get back next year to do some routes ourselves. It was certainly scary to see how pedestrian we were compared to the experts in ropework, belay setting etc. Learn't a lot. It was good to do the crevasse rescue drills on the way to the hut which maximised the time on the mountains."

"Hi Al, Rich,
Just a quick note to say many thanks for the awesome fortnight back in July. Apologies for not writing to say so sooner. Been snowed under with new job etc. I know both Matt and I enjoyed ourselves greatly and learnt masses - so many thanks for your patience, perseverance when required and guidance. Everything was tailored perfectly to what we wanted to achieve.
Once Matt’s got his knee sorted out hopefully we’ll be back to do some more stuff – if you weren’t to glad to see the back of us! Amongst other things the Mittellegi Ridge beckons.
Trust you are both well.
All the best,
John Long"
