Summary
A 2 day course, providing tailored rock climbing coaching to improve your personal performance. 
We offer this course on a private guiding itinerary - with dates by arrangement from May to mid June. Prices are as per our private guiding rates, up to a maximum of 2 climbers per guide.
 
Course Venues
Our performace coaching weekends are available in either the Peak District, North Wales or the Lake District, both of which offer a wide variety of high quality crags and climbing over the weekend.

Days 1-2 Sat - Sun
  • More effective gear placement
  • Advanced rope techniques
  • Performance lead coaching sessions
  • Overcoming psychological barriers
  • Training and development strategies
  • Self rescue skills etc.

Prior to the course we ask for detailed information about your current climbing performance, in order to plan an appropriate coaching program. Improving rock climbing confidence or personal leading grade is a common focus, but we can also cover topics as diverse as as alpine climbing skills and big wall climbing techniques if required.

Food and Accommodation
We run all of our courses on a guiding & instruction only basis. Food and accommodation must be paid for seperately. A good range of recommended accommodation options around the course venue are provided with your joining instructions.
 
Ability and Experience
Rock climbing requires good flexibility and balance, as much as outright strength. General outdoor fitness (see fitness level 1-2) is required on this course, in addition to specific rock climbing fitness. Regular visits to your local wall or crag are recommended for training and preparation.
 
Equipment
All communal safety equipment (ropes etc) is provided by us. You are expected to come equiped with personal clothing and equipment. For the more specialist items including harness and helmet, hire is available if needed.
