Guided rock climbing in the English Lake District. A wide variety of climbing is available, from scrambling and moderate climbs suitable for complete beginners - through to classic, hard and extreme rock.

The region is particularly good for instructional courses involving scrambling, multi-pitch climbing and/or navigation skills.

We can be based in a number of places in the Lake District, depending on chosen climbing objectives and your travel plans. Once decided on a program, we'll suggest appropriate accommodation and meeting points.

We run all of our courses on a guiding & instruction only basis. Food and accommodation must be paid for seperately. A good range of recommended accommodation options around the Lake District are provided with your joining instructions.

The South Lakes in particular can be reached very easily by train from most parts of the country - London to Windermere by train for instance takes 3 hours, which is far quicker than driving. Travelling by car, you just need to head up (or down, or across) the M6.

As with most mountain activities, rock climbing can be hard work (see fitness level 1-3+). Depending on the proposed itinerary, we will advise you as to the necessary standard required and suggest any appropriate preparation. For those looking to climb at the higher grades in particular, the more visits you can make to your local climbing wall or crag the better!

All ropes and lead climbing protection are supplied by ourselves. You are expected to bring along personal clothing and equipment. For the more specialist items including harness and helmet, hire is available if needed.
