Client Feedback" Thanks again for a fantastic two weeks, Eric and I both really appreciated the lengths you went to, to make sure we could climb great stuff whatever the weather was doing and I suspect return trip(s) to Lecco and the Bregalia will be on the cards " MR - Sept '06
Sample Itinerary This is a private guiding itinerary, so a complete choice of routes and venues is possible:
Day 0
Sat
PM Rendezvous. This can be either in Chamonix, or at one of the Milan airports (Bergamo or Linate).
Either drive over from Chamonix, climbing a route in the famous Lecco region on the way - or head straight into the mountains if meeting at Milan.
Days 2-6
Mon - Fri
Bregaglia Climber. A varied and challenging week of alpine rock climbing, tailored to your ability and ambitions. Possible areas and routes could include:
Albigna Dam - short approaches and superb climbing based at the the lovely Albigna Hut.
Piz Badile - North Ridge
Gemelli - North Ridge, Bugeleisen
The area is very compact, so it is quite possible to link routes and areas, moving between different huts during the week.
Food and AccommodationThis week is run on a private guiding basis, so food and accommodation (for yourself and the guide) must be paid for as we go along.
Travel The guide will have a vehicle available for transport during the week, but you are responsible for meeting the fuel costs incurred.
Fitness You need good levels of climbing fitness for this week, as typical days involve 4-10 hours technical rock climbing (see fitness level 2-3) so we advise you to prepare well in advance with regular training and climbing. Pre acclimatisation for this week is not a necessity.
ExperienceYou should have either some previous alpine, or multipitch rock climbing experience and be capable of climbing French 5 rock (HS - VS) or harder to get the most from this week.
EquipmentAll communal safety equipment (ropes etc) is provided by us. You are expected to come equiped with personal clothing and climbing equipment, including rock boots. Local equipment hire (including boots) is also available.
